About Us
Sagar Suraksha Welfare Foundation (SSWF) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to creating sustainable, inclusive, and resilient communities through humanitarian service and integrated rural development.
Our journey began in 2011 with a vision to serve the underserved communities of Gangasagar, the Sundarban Delta, and South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. Since receiving our Government registration in 2019, we have expanded our initiatives across healthcare, nutrition, education, disaster management, environmental conservation, senior citizen welfare, women empowerment, and sustainable community development.
For more than a decade, our Foundation has been working at the grassroots level to improve the lives of vulnerable families, particularly in remote coastal and rural areas. Our programmes focus on providing access to healthcare, nutritious food, quality education, digital literacy, livelihood opportunities, environmental protection, and emergency relief during natural disasters.
One of our flagship humanitarian initiatives is our annual service during the Gangasagar Mela, where our dedicated volunteers provide free meals, emergency medical first aid, temporary pilgrim shelters, drinking water, and assistance to senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Through these efforts, we have supported approximately 100,000 pilgrims with free food during the mela, alongside emergency first-aid and volunteer services.
Since 2011, the Foundation has also been promoting Sustainable Eco Tourism in Gangasagar and the Sundarban through community participation, environmental conservation, cultural heritage promotion, and local livelihood development. We believe that responsible tourism can create employment opportunities while preserving the unique ecological and cultural identity of the region.

If the copy becomes distracting in the design then you are doing something wrong or they are discussing copy changes. It might be a bit annoying but you could tell them that that discussion would be best suited for another time. At worst the discussion is at least working towards the final goal of your site where questions about lorem ipsum don’t.
